About Jana

Born and raised in Petoskey, MI, I moved to West MI to attend Hope College where I obtained my nursing degree. I worked in a variety of settings before finding my heart in maternal and infant health. I obtained my certification as a lactation counselor in 2019 and became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator in 2022. For the past four years, I have had the joy and privilege of teaching childbirth and breastfeeding classes, as well as helping facilitate breastfeeding support groups. I am passionate about helping clients know their options, trust their body, and feel excited and empowered for the birth experience.

In February 2024 I began doula training with West Michigan Midwifery. By bridging medical knowledge and compassionate care, I hope to provide families with a safe and supportive space to pursue their goals.

My husband Andrew is a pastor, and together we have three wild and wonderful kids: Asher (9), Oliver (6) and Cora (3). I love being outside, running with walking breaks, yoga, and curling up

with a good novel.

Birth Doula Package Pricing: $1,200

Birth doula services include unlimited and continuous emotional, informational, and physical support during labor, two prenatal meetings and one postpartum meeting of approximately 1.5 hours in length.
