Ginger Hollemans, LMSW, CD/PCD(DONA)

I grew up in NE Ohio, but moved to West Michigan to attend Calvin College where I majored in Communications. With an interest in the helping profession, I went on to graduate school at GVSU and received my MSW. My background as a medical social worker for hospice has given me knowledge of healthcare systems, expertise in compassionate emotional support, and a network of community resources.

I entered the doula profession after my own experience with a difficult first birth. The positive birth of my second son with the help of a doula reignited my interest in helping people experience an informed and evidence-based birth. I have been passionate about birth work ever since, attending my first birth in 2016, completing my DONA birth doula certification in July of 2017, and DONA postpartum doula certification in 2023. I have completed studies in maternal and child health and have supported births both in and out of hospital. The birth support I provide is gentle, encouraging, and tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.

I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, laughing as much as possible, and reading all things birth related. My husband Adam and I live in SE Grand Rapids with our two very busy boys Asher, 10, and Arden, 7.
